FILM IN THE CAN: Make Your DVD Special

GIVE YOUR FANS SOMETHING MORE

Don't just give your fans a film or documentary, load the DVD up with as much bonus features as you can. I can't think of one new release that does not have some kind of bonus features (although read my blog about the bonus features that accompanied SAW!). Below are some ideas of what DVD's are armed with today when it comes to special features.

Create Easter Eggs. CLICK HERE to see what films have these. Interesting facts from EEGGS.com about what REALLY makes an easter egg:

a) must be truly hidden, not meant to be noticed by people in the general public. In a movie, for example, obvious references to other movies or actors' roles aren't Easter Eggs, even if some people don't pick up on the references. This includes references that would be considered "obvious" to any fan of the series or genre, but not to others.
b) It must be entertaining. Yes, this is subjective, but it's important! Eggs are put in for humorous or entertaining purposes, so if it's not entertaining, it's not an Egg.
c) It must NOT be symbolism, foreshadowing, or any other literary technique like this. Storytellers use these all the time to tell a good story, and they certainly don't count as Eggs
